For the second time, I am posting a picture and challenging you to guess where it was taken. This is a much easier version than the last time.

Of course, the forums are the place to go if you like this game. The “Where Am I?” thread in the forum Hall of Fame is still going, with over 1600 replies and more added daily.

Anyway, on with the picture:

Somewhere, a shadow is out of synch with its caster

The animated version is really much nicer. Quite the image, the colors pop! Except it is a bit large at 12MB so … click at your own peril. But do click, it is kind of a weird GIF for this site* but I find it strangely compelling.

* Read with caution: a phrase like that makes it sounds like we have some kind of standards here on DDOGamer. Yet we all know better than that …

I originally captured this sequence because I liked the way the shadow has its arms outstretched while the shadow caster stands, fiercely, holding a maul, with arms tightly held to her sides.

What do you think?

Are you strangely compelled?

Oh, and where is it?

  1. Top of the airship, looking down on the canopy..

  2. A giant is asleep at the kitchen table; his head resting comfortably on his forearms. A pair of pencil crayons, one blue and one lavender peek out from the tight embrace of the left hand. A beautiful tourqouise pencil sits cradled in his right. You are standing on the giant’s complex and many panelled, Adult Colouring Book. If you are to even contemplate getting anything done here, you really, really, need that tourqouise…

… Tie in to an as yet unfinished series of my own screenshots meant to offer an idea or two on what to do when lag makes the game all but unplayable. πŸ˜‰

    • Warning: The following is not acceptable behaviour. I am posting this as an example of what I believe to be “just crossing” the line. And an example of what you may experience in my upcoming one year anniversary event; The Week of the Troll.

There are no personal attacks; how could there be? There is no one there to attack, but still, an inference, though hypothetical IS made: It is wrong. How do you capitalize a period? !…? If you could ever write something like what follows and not feel that knot of regret in the pit of your stomach(as I do right now) You could be a redneck, Errr…. Troll.

Oh my, a down vote for that? Ok, maybe you don’t like in character “fan?-fiction” or maybe my attempt really was that bad( I don’t think so, amateurish? perhaps) but since you didn’t leave a name I believe that I have a certain latitude in MY response. I have a sneaking suspicion that someone has fallen into the Modern day sin of Ignorance; did you assume that I was talking porn? Have you ever heard of something called a search engine? Blows my mind that anyone would need to use it for this term but ok… Search Adult Colouring Book(British/Canadian/Commonwealth spelling in case you don’t know) you MIGHT stumble on porn, based on your own internet habits but this is what I get and have used… Look close, the ship patterns fit in Perfectly.
If you choose not to believe me then please, follow mine… https://www.chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/books/colouring-books/

Ignorance is said to be bliss. It is also curable.

I would prefer above all else an honest to goodness troll. In that case I would simply say, hypothetically speaking of course; You’re in a desert, walking along in the sand, when all of a sudden you look down…

Oh, did I mention that you’re not the one holding the gun?

But of course, you are not a troll. Just an anonymous someone who has naughty internet habits which you project on those around you, so you should enjoy my reuse of the above classic.

Don’t forget; One year Anniversary is fast approaching.
The Week of the Troll June 24th-30th. Down votes appreciated if not preferred. πŸ˜‰

  3. You are all correct, of course, except maybe the crayon comment. I am still trying to decipher that one. Maybe it is correct too? I can’t tell.

What do you think?
