I’d never noticed this before, but the First Mate on our airship, Ziksquik, is quite the dancer.

How odd that this had escaped me. Except now that I’ve investigated more fully it is not really that odd, he only dances for a moment, and only the first time you approach him. After which he just stands there, despondent shoulders slumping, unresponsive.

Like so:

I note that he is dancing the Male Halfling /dance2. Is that because he is talking to a Halfling? He can’t know he’s on a Halfling-only guild ship, can he?

Or maybe Kobolds always dance like Halflings? Or perhaps, the reverse, and Halflings dance like Kobolds? Either one seems like a long shot to me, but you never know.

I wonder if he does the same dance for everyone? It seems like it would be unnecessarily difficult to program him to dance differently for different races; I suspect it is coincidence that he is dancing Halfling-like for this Halfling guest. Probably?

Regardless, anyone who dances like that is okay with me.

Maybe he really is the First mate after all.

  1. O-o-o-k-k-k…

  2. That reminds me, must finish “Dance All the Things” post one of these days.

  3. The Kobolds recently learned new moves; the shaman down in the cargo hold is also dancing his little feet off. I think, and someone posted this, is that the new dance is part of a kobold revamp to make them a PLAYER RACE. I know you’re a content person, but I can’t wait to see what the different ears will look like when picking hair in the character generator.

  4. Perhaps this has existed since the Anniversary Update? They did have all those kobold illusions doing different dances, and one was even swimming.

What do you think?
