Dozens of nominations, weeks of voting, hundreds and hundreds of votes, several minutes of tabulation … it all comes down to this: Who are the winners of the 2015 GAMEY awards?

Excitement fills the Awards area here at DDOGamer as throngs of celebrities and luminaries arrive, each eager to find out who really did the best DDO work in 2015.

But first, the President of the Academy of DDOGamers’ annual address:

The GAMEYS are presented by the Academy of DDOGamers, consisting primarily of me, and also, me. The award consists of a nice digital image, conveying no monetary or career value, and is filled with the uselessness one would expect in anything coming from this site.

Academy members are elected for life terms, and are also fictional. Voting occurs among the subset of humanity that has been somehow deceived, controlled, or bribed into reading DDOGamer. Voters were encouraged to vote as often as they liked. No controls were placed to prevent spamming, ballot-stuffing, or other forms of fraud and/or chicanery. The prestigious accounting firm or Price Waterhouse Cooper had nothing to do with this, and wouldn’t even if we’d been offering to pay, which of course we were not.

And now, on to the awards!

  1. Hmmmm…did Cordovan take the Gamey Statue home for himself? It appeared that he is retrieving it from Severlin, even though that was the last presentation. I thought the winners were going to share the prestigious cut-out? Does it now rest on the mantle above Mr. Snook’s fireplace? Does anyone at Turbine even care?

  2. The bemused look on the recipients faces are entirely in keeping with the spirit of the award. Well done sir!

  3. What? No oatmeal-raisin cookies to go along with the cardboard cut-out? Award shows do have a tradition of “swag bags”, you know…
    πŸ˜‰

  4. Congrats to all the winners, try not to get that award wet with all the celebratory champagne!

(Oh, and have another look at the mouse wheel bug, please…)

  5. Great job, Geoff! It’s pretty cool that they made the videos presenting the awards. Maybe next year you can make a kickstarter for more Gameys πŸ™‚ Powered by fans, indeed.

  6. This is so awesome πŸ˜€ I love the video acceptance “speeches” which consisted almost exclusively of “Huh? What? Oh, cool!”

What do you think?
