My Gamer Girl. Irresistible.
The blog will be on autopilot for the next three weeks as my Gamer Girl and I head out on a multi-city nuptial adventure. Five cities, four time zones, more than eight thousand miles, it will be quite the marriage marathon.
But quite fun too. And hopefully, memorable in all the best ways.
Technically speaking, as you can see, I’ve already “put a ring on it“. But one must follow through on their promises, and I absolutely intend to finish what I started. Thus the wedding. The travel is not so necessary but still, is welcome, and we are both very excited about it. Very!
I wonder how many other couples have met in-game, playing DDO together. I am certain we are not the only ones, there must be at least several others. But whatever the statistic, add one more, another couple going from PUG to guild-mates to partners for life.
I am so lucky to have found her. Or actually, that she found me. Or that we found each other, the order of finding is not the critical part but rather the finding in itself. From everyone in the world, from everyone that played DDO, from everyone on Sarlona, two people met, and love happened. For life.
When we come back, everything will be different! Sort of? We already live together. But still, wedded bliss will descend on us and change everything, Right? Just a little, but nonetheless profoundly? We will be all married up and that has to matter. Yes?
There we are in-game, her totally-bad-ass Rogue and my just-plain-bad cleric. Black and white, hitter and healer, good and bad. But as people we are not nearly so opposite, we fit together like a two-piece jigsaw puzzle.
I’ve scheduled daily postcards to appear in our absence. No big deal, just more wallpapers, although some of the images are quite interesting. Yet no one gets too excited over wallpaper.
We’ll be back December 9 to restore the usual gaming-foolery that this blog is supposed to contain.
Wish us luck!
