It seems that the (enormously well-named) Jeoffree of Cannith is agitating to get Standing Stone Games to add dye to the game for animal forms.

This particular group of developers does not have a great track record of responding to grouped player activism (read the comments not just the article), but that was then and this is now. Different company, different producer, maybe that will add up to better results.

Regardless of the past, here is the email from Jeoffree, unedited:

I am organizing a March of the Bears on Cannith March 25th 13:00 EST. I am asking players to roll up a druid and march in the harbor in animal form to show support for hair dye for druid animal form.

If successful could raise awareness to the devs that we want animal form hair dye at its worst should be a fun time with some great screenshots.

If you could throw the even a shout out on your next post that would be awesome. P.S. I like your name ๐Ÿ™‚

So there you go. Jeoffree would like as many people as possible to put on their in-game furry suits and do-si-do for the world to see.

Bear dye seems like as good a cause as any. I mean, in-game, because the real world is currently chock-full of causes and activism and may not have room left to care what color we dye our bears.

Speaking of which, I wonder what dye colors he is hoping to see? Here are my top five favorite bear dyes:

  • Winnie The Poo Yellow (with additional-cost red vest)
  • White vinyl (much cheaper to maintain than wood equivalents)
  • Cozy (for Russian players. Apparently CozyBear is popular over there)
  • Metal-flake Blue and/or Candy Apple Red (for bitchin’ hot rod bears)
  • Neopolitan (needs no explanation)

Good luck Jeoffree, our insufficiently-colored pixellated furry population is counting on you!

p.s. I like your name too, Jeoffree, only two letters away from perfection!

What do you think?
