I have so many alts and so few brain cells. This is a bad, worst-of-both-worlds type of combination, like the fact that dynamite “sweats” nitroglycerine but hard-rock mines in the 1800’s were all many miles away up mountainous, very bumpy roads.

Well it is not exactly like that. For instance, no one explodes.

Yet still, I have so many characters!  I just get good at playing one of them* when it is time to switch to another and I have to start all over.

* “Good” in this case is defined as “slightly better than a blindfolded five-year old who is playing while eating a peanut butter sandwich”

One side effect of the frequent character change is that I lose track of where each character has their CON and Haggle gear. You can tell when this particular problem has come into play when I am suddenly dying in a tavern for no apparent reason.

More commonly, I simply forget to take off my haggle gear until I am back in the tavern and the quest is over.

Today my TR’ing warrior Chelena, who is not twinked, ran the entire Delera chain at 6th level, on hard. With Haggle gear on.

Sigh.

On the plus side, she did really well, all things considered.

Badass Chelena
Wears Haggle gear all the time
Kicks butt anyway

Someday I will learn to get put the right gear on at the right time.

<Dramatic Pause>

Oh who am I kidding its been five years why would I suddenly become a good player now?

My only hope is that someday Turbine will give us swappable gear sets and make it so easy and obvious that even I will get better at gear management.

🙂 😀 🙂

  1. ROFL – and here I thought I was the only one who forgot to remove my haggle gear before running a quest (OK, OK, maybe not the ONLY one…). 😉

Good to know I’m in good company.

  2. Guilty as charged. Delera’s? Meh, I just did a VoD on Hard yesterday fully loaded to barter for the best deal with Sulo. In spite of my best efforts to beat his asking price down he refused to give in, so he had to be taken out, dealt with, pay the piper. Needless to say I was a little shocked when I went to sell and noticed that my Napkin and my Elders Focus were NOT equipped but I had been exceptionally Charismatic and Hagglefied while in the Sub 🙂

  3. LOL, sooo funny! You are not alone there, I promise.
I have new vet alts that stay bound to the top of the Falconeer’s Spiral and jumping off for the airship is no problem with featherfall on.
However, just a big dwarven splat without, :p.

What do you think?
