DDOcast – A DDO Podcast for Fans by Fans!

Once again I am invited to appear on DDOCast. I feel an obligation: partly because I used to be a co-host but mostly because continuing DDOCast has become the heroic quest of a single, brave individual.

You may not think about it like this, but trust me, putting on a fresh show Every. Single. Week. is a significant task. Are you feeling ill? A show is due anyway. Super busy at work? The show does not care. Don’t feel like making a show this week? Guess what. You are still going to make a show this week.

Back when the DDOCast was Sig and Anne and I, we at least had each other. In a dry week with slow DDO news we could just bounce things around between us. But Patrick, poor stalwart Patrick, has only himself and his creativity.

Don’t get me wrong, DDOCast is in fine hands: Patrick has introduced several creative new types of content and the show has only gotten better.

Thus the feeling of obligation. If I can help out, I should. It’s good for the community. And so I do.

Imagine my surprise when I log in this past weekend to help out and find that

1. Patrick has already lined up not one but two other guests
2. The other guests are Jerry/Cordovan from Turbine and Lessah from the DDO Cocktail Hour

Wow. Two all-stars! And not just all-stars, but also, super-talkative all-stars.

Ai yi yi.

As it turned out, a great show, I think anyway, it is hard to judge these things on the fly, but it was a lot of fun to make and one hopes that translates into being a fun listen. There is not a lot of me, which is a plus, but a whole lot of Jerry and Lessah which is an even bigger plus. These two are popular for a reason!

There was a topic of course – challenges. Tips and tricks and opinions regarding all of the challenge content, both House C and Eveningstar. But really, this show is not about the content. It is about Jerry and Lessah, and that is enough. More than.

DDOCast 386: give it a listen! You will be glad you did.

🙂 😀 🙂

  1. I’m looking forward to seeing you guys tips and hints 😀 (I won’t be watchiong live though got Between Father’s Day, A Rush Concent and E3 I’m gonna be hella Busy :P) I suck at challenges so I’m glad Patrick didn’t ask me to join this week, I always feel terrible if I’m busy or something.

What do you think?
