DDO The Card Game - Clerics

This post is part of a continuing series where I present my ill-formed thoughts about a DDO-inspired card game to you for review and suggestion.

Favored Souls are to Clerics what Sorcerers are to Wizards; not as easy to get spells, but better at using them once obtained. Also like Sorcerers, Favored Souls have a melee-based enhancement tree for those who want to mix their swords with their sorcery.

Combat values for classes, level ups, and class enhancements

Favored Soul Level 0 0 1 1 1

I’m trying to hammer these things out quickly now that we’re hitting the home stretch. Hundreds of cards are already designed, and I have a pretty clear idea in mind about how to break them all up into releasable sets.

I still have Bards to go, the last of the classes, and once all of the classes are done I’ll need to make a pass through their numbers and powers to ensure the classes designed in April are still in scale with the ones I designed yesterday.

Then magic items, then public instances and Festivals and events (maybe not events, those are for a more competitive version of the game and I think I want to start out fully cooperative), then quests, then raids.

And then, playtest!

So close.

🙂 😀 🙂
