When I finally took the plunge and started a VIP subscription, I suddenly had more character slots than I knew what to do with, so I turned them into extra storage. This is the system that I set up:
1. Their first names all start with the letter Z so that they show up at the bottom of my character list after my playable alts.
2. Their surnames are coined after what they store.
3. They all include the phrase “RydMule” (Ryd is a common nickname for my cleric Rydian) because I thought ZA, ZB, etc. would be too short, and possibly already claimed.
4. They are all level 7 veteran status characters, so if it ever tickles my fancy, I could run Coin Lords quests for even more space.
You might see the following naked half-orc barbarian mules in the Harbor bank on occasion:
Zdrydmule Consumables – Hangs on to random potions, wands, and scrolls
Zerydmule Miscellaneous – Things like portable holes, augments, tasty hams, and whatever else
Zfrydmule Seasonal – Keeper of motes, cakes, cookies, my BTA ice skates, and many, many doubloons.
This system works well for me. When my shared bank is full, I just log on to each one and deposit what needs to go where. Since they’re all parked in the Harbor, they load very quickly.
How do you keep track of which characters are holding on to which items?
