I think it is important that I remind people of this, frequently: DDOGamer is a place where anyone and everyone can post their DDO-based thoughts. A longish list of authors have contributed over the years, and several still do, with varying degrees of regularity.
That is worth repeating. Anyone can write for DDOGamer. Anyone.
How would that work?
All you have to do is ask, and I will grant you author privileges, the process is fast, and often you can be writing on the same day you make the request.
- You do not have to agree with me (in some ways it is better if you don’t!)
- You do not have to commit to anything (some people write once a week or once a month, others once in a while, many once ever. And all of that is okay)
- You don’t even have to worry about being good at this (look at me, I write all the time in spite of my obvious lack of talent)
The easiest way to ask for authoring privileges is to use the feedback form on the FAQs page.
I have written down a few guidelines for the site as a whole. You may want to take a moment and read them, although if you don’t, that’s okay too, in all the years I’ve had this site I’ve never had to edit an article. For that matter, I’ve only rarely had to edit comments. But again, I have never had to edit anyone’s article.
But these are details. The important part is that you can write for DDOGamer if you like, it’s easy, and I will help.
Just let me know. It really is that easy.
